EO Powerhouse Speaker Brené Brown—Virtual Watch Party followed by Immaculee Ilibagiza’s Story of Faith, Hope and Forgiveness
March 5, 2024 @ 9:30 am – 2:00 pm EST
We are thrilled to be able to partner EO’s Powerhouse Learning Event Virtual Watch Party with Brené Brown, opening for Immaculee Ilibagiza, who is joining us in-person. A transformational morning of learning and inspiration from two of EO’s most powerful speakers!
Brené Brown has spent her career studying courage, vulnerability, shame and empathy. She has one of the most-watched TED Talks in the whole world where she discussed the power of vulnerability. We’ll kick-off this amazing day of learning with Brené’s keynote which will highlight daring leadership, the future of work and the four skill sets of courage.
Brené’s talk will lead us into the powerful story of Immaculee Ilibagiza who survived the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Remarkably, her tragedy transformed Immaculee into a strong woman dedicated to peace and reconciliation. Immaculee now travels the world sharing her story and healing the hearts of those struggling with fear, doubt, and hate. Her autobiography, Left to Tell, has sold more than two million copies and is in the process of becoming a major motion picture.
Join your fellow EO Detroiters for Brené Brown’s virtual keynote before we meet Immaculee Ilibagiza who will share her powerful story. In just one morning, we will have the immense opportunity to experience, together, two of EO’s most highly rated speakers! This event is open to EO Detroit Members, Accelerators, Strategic Alliance Partners and please bring a guest who you know would love this one-of-a-kind experience! Lunch will be served.
